So there is some talent still left in Pakistan :) Some brains not yet drained out of Pakistan.
Engineers at PAC makes a copy of iPAD, called PACPAD, based on hardware components imported from China and Google's Android OS.
Well, its a good achievement... but... Why PAC is doing this? Don't they have any better things to do?
After attending the course on Oracle BI... I realize that its something very easy.
You don't need to be an Einstien to understand BI. Its just another way of modelling your databases, so that it can perform better for "ANALYSIS", instead of "TRANSACTIONS". Maybe you don't need all the investments to buy BI tools if you learn the art of modelling your OLTP data into OLAP models. (Maybe). But ofcourse... these tools do have some advantages as well.
Dubai Municipality nominated me for a 5 day Training course on Oracle Business Intellegence Training (Building Repositories). So far, I was planning to move deep inside Microsoft BI tools. However, this new course will boost my technical knowledgebase and will help me study and understand BI tools of to IT giants.
After passing MCTS in DB Dev, I am getting ready to dive in the sea of Business Intellegence. To start off, my first destination is to read cover-to-cover the book on Analysis Services. This is the first book that I have chosen in this series.
In the comments of this blog post, I will keep updated about my reading progress. (I am not shy to confess that I have been rusted over the years and its not an easy task for me to read a book).
Finally, I am Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 - Database Development. I have passed Exam 70-433.
This certification was in my 2011 plan. Next in my plan is to explore Microsoft Business Intelligence (BI) world. If I pass 70-448 during Ramadan, than that would be ideal.
